Infrared Coagulation (IRC) Hemorrhoid Therapy

IRC is one of the most common treatments for hemorrhoids and is often preferred over other methods because it is fast and well tolerated by patients. A small probe is used to treat the area above the hemorrhoid to a burst of infrared light. This coagulates the veins above the hemorrhoid, causing it to shrink and recede.

It is performed in the office and patients can return to work the same day. Most people have very few symptoms after the treatment.
