Dr. Johansen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, followed by medical school at University of Massachusetts where he received the top graduate award for his class of 100 people. He went on to complete an internship and 5-year surgical residency at Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, serving as Chief Resident in 1991. From there, he went on to Cleveland Clinic for a one year fellowship, specializing in colon and rectal surgery. He joined the Kendrick Regional Center in 1992 and currently is on staff at St. Francis - Mooresville, St. Francis - Beech Grove, and Community South Hospital. |
| He serves as Program Director, Indiana University School of Medicine Colon and Rectal Residency and Chairman, Department of Surgery, St. Francis Hospital - Mooresville. He was appointed Clinical Professor of Surgery for IU Medical School in 1997 and continues to serve in that teaching capacity.
Dr. Johansen is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Society of Gastrointestinal/Endoscopic surgeons, and serves as president of the 7th district medical society which serves Marion, Morgan, Johnson, and Hendricks County (2005 - 2006).
He serves as Medical Director of the Mooresville Endoscopy Center and on the Board of Directors of the St. Francis Mooresville Surgery Center. He also served on the National Membership Committee for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Johansen was selected top doctor by his peers in colon and rectal surgery in Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. He has published numerous papers, in addition to a number of chapters in colon and rectal surgery textbooks. He has been a speaker at local, national, as well as international meetings on topics in colon and rectal surgery.

| R. Barry Melbert, M.D., FACS |

Dr. Melbert is a native Southsider, having grown up in Beech Grove and Mooresville. He attended Indiana University as an Honors Division Scholar, graduating in 1989 with a BA in Chemistry. Dr. Melbert subsequently attended Indiana University School of Medicine, completing his medical degree in 1993 with an award for Distinguished Research. He then completed a five-year General Surgery Residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, followed by a Colon and Rectal Care Surgery Fellowship at the Northwest Colon and Rectal Clinic in Seattle, Washington. |

He is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Melbert is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Indiana State Medical Society, and the Indianapolis Medical Society. He serves as a clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine, and as a lecturer/consultant for Ethicon Endo Surgery and the American Cancer Society. Dr. Melbert was recently named to the Board of Directors of the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation. He is on staff at all three St. Francis campuses (Indianapolis, Beech Grove, and Mooresville), Community Hospital South, Franciscan Surgery Center, Mooresville Endoscopy Center, Indiana Surgery Center South, Mooresville Surgery Center, and Clarian West Medical Center.
Dr. Melbert has been named as a Top Doctor by Indianapolis Monthly magazine, and has been named one of the "Top Doctors in America" by the Consumer's Research Council for two years running.

Dr. Lane graduated from Culver Military Academy and received an A.B. degree from Wabash College, garnering Summa Cum Laude recognition. After receiving his M.D. degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Lane completed a General Surgery Residency at Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan, followed by a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the nationally-renowned Ferguson Clinic. He began private practice at St. Francis Hospital and Community Hospital South in 1989 in association with Dr. Richard Knapek. |

Dr. Lane joined the Kendrick Regional Center for Colon and Rectal Care in 2003, concentrating his practice mainly on the south side of Indianapolis. He has served as Chief of Surgery at both St. Francis Hospital and Community Hospital South. He is also on the medical staff at St. Francis Mooresville, Clarian Hospital in Avon, the Franciscan Surgery Center, the Indiana Surgery Center South, The Endoscopy Center and the Mooresville Endoscopy Center.
Dr. Lane is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He is double-board certified (and re-certified) with the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Indiana State Medical Association, the Indianapolis Medical Society, the Midwest Surgical Association and the Ohio Valley Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has been recognized twice by his peers in the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine Top Doctor edition. He is also a proctor for other surgeons and a statewide spokesman for Ethicon Endo Surgery regarding minimally-invasive (laparoscopic) colon and rectal surgery.

| Bridget M. Sanders, M.D., FACS, FASCRS |

Dr. Sanders received her B.A. degree in Biology from Purdue University of Indianapolis in 1993. She went on to receive her M.S. in Physiology from Indiana University in 1994.
She attended Indiana University School of Medicine and received her M.D. degree in 1998. She completed her General Surgery Residency at Indiana University in 2004, and she completed her Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2005. She serves as the Associate Director Indiana University School of Medicine Colon and Rectal Residency.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Prior to Medical School, Dr. Sanders received a degree in nursing from Marian College. She worked as a nurse in the Methodist Hospital Surgical Care Unit and the Methodist Hospital Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center.
Dr. Sanders joined the Kendrick Regional Center on July 11, 2005. She specializes in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders, as well as laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery. She is accepting new patients at the Indianapolis, Avon and Mooresville offices. She is a provider with all of the major insurance companies.
Dr. Sanders is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Women Surgical Association, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Maun attended Northwestern University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in biomedical engineering with honors. He went on to Northwestern University Medical School where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. His surgical training began at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York where he was chosen to be the administrative chief resident. He was recipient of the Arthur Aufses Sr. Award for leadership, compassion and teaching. He completed his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. |

Dr. Tsai received his undergraduate degree with honors from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York in 1997, and his medical degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 2001. His post-graduate surgical training began at Indiana University School of Medicine and included two years as a Research Fellow. Upon completion of his surgery residency in 2008 he entered the University of Minnesota School of Medicine Colon and Rectal Fellowship Program. Dr. Tsai is a member of the Indiana chapter of the national honor medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha. |
| Dr. Tsai is board certified by the American Board of Surgeons and, with completion of his colon and rectal fellowship in 2009, will be eligible for admission to the American Board of Colon and Rectal surgeons. Dr. Tsai will be accepting new patients at the Indianapolis and Mooresville offices of Kendrick Regional Center beginning August 1, 2009.
