Why a Colorectal Surgeon?

The surgeons at the Kendrick Colon and Rectal Center are board-certified colorectal surgeons who have completed another year of training after their general surgery training and have passed another board exam.

Our surgeons perform colon and rectal cancer surgeries exclusively. That is one of the reasons why many of the more complicated cases are referred to the surgeons at Kendrick. Our surgeons have extensive training and experience operating in the narrow pelvis. It is an advanced skill set, as is many of the advanced surgical procedures performed by our surgeons.

Volume and patient outcomes are important to consider if you or a loved one is facing surgery for colon or rectal problems. The number of surgeries performed by a surgeon does make a difference the more surgeries, the better the outcomes. This has been proven across all types of surgeries. Our team performs well over 1,000 colorectal surgeries a year.

In addition, we have a great team in place, with all the nurses and other specialists.
